Celtic Park concert travel guide
Celtic Park is on London Road, east of Glasgow city centre. Dalmarnock and Bridgeton are the nearest stations, within half a mile of the ground. The club’s travel notes are written for match days, so check the concert’s own arrangements as well.
This is a planning guide. Use the linked providers for current services and event-specific arrangements.
Which station should I use?
Trains from Glasgow Central or Argyle Street to Dalmarnock and Bridgeton stop within half a mile of the stadium. From Queen Street, Bellgrove is about a mile away. Glasgow city centre and both main stations are less than a 45-minute walk.
Buses 2, 61, 64, 255 and 240 from the city centre stop at the Forge Shopping Centre on the Gallowgate, about a mile from the ground.
Plan the journey home before the show
Leave time to exit the ground and walk back to Dalmarnock or Bridgeton. A concert ticket does not guarantee the last train, and the roads around London Road are slow when a large crowd leaves.
Recheck disruption on the day. If the return does not work, compare an overnight stay with another way home before you book.
Check the whole accessible route
Dalmarnock is the step-free station. The club lists it as fully accessible, with a ramp for boarding trains. Bellgrove has stairs to the platform and no step-free access, so do not use it as the accessible rail option.
Blue Badge parking at the ground is allocated match by match. A concert may not use that system. Ask the organiser about accessible parking, a drop-off point and viewing areas before you travel.
Driving, parking and pick-up
From the north or south, follow the M74 or M73 to the A74 towards Tollcross and Rutherglen, then continue along London Road. From the east or west, leave the M8 at junction 12, 13 or 14. The club asks drivers and taxis to arrive early because the roads get congested.
The published stadium car park is for people travelling to a match. Check whether your concert opens stadium parking, and agree a pick-up point before the day.
Bags and entry checks
The stadium ground regulations limit bags to about A4: roughly 21cm wide, 30cm high and 8cm deep. Bags are searched. Exceptions are made for medical and accessibility needs.
Those regulations cover anyone entering the stadium. A concert can add its own conditions, so read the event page before you travel with overnight luggage.
Where should I base an overnight stay?
Compare a stay near Dalmarnock with one near Glasgow Central or Queen Street, where longer-distance trains leave. Check the walk or taxi back after the show, and where luggage can be left.
On your CatchWorm event page, Venue & stays lets you explore nearby accommodation. Choose travel dates to allow for the concert and check the final booking terms with the provider.
