An Ents24 alternative when the tour leaves the UK
Ents24 GigAlert is built for UK listings, venues and ticket-sale news. CatchWorm is for dates that may be in another country, and for opening a city, a year and the trip once you know.
CatchWorm is a free, UK-based concert discovery and trip planning service that emails you when artists you follow announce new tour dates worldwide, not just near you, and helps you find ticket links, travel and somewhere to stay.
CatchWorm is in beta, and still growing.
What Ents24 is built for
Ents24 calls itself "the UK's biggest live guide". GigAlert tracks artists, venues and events, nationally or for selected areas. Its FAQ says it concentrates on Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with occasional Dublin listings. It is not built for a tour abroad.
How CatchWorm differs
The alert can leave the UK
Choose your country or Worldwide for each artist. Country covers dates inside that country. Worldwide covers a show in Amsterdam or further.
Cities and years, not venue alerts
Concerts by city lists upcoming catalogue shows in that city, with a page for each year that has dates. It is not every local event, and it does not alert you when a venue, theatre or comedy club adds a date. A venue guide, where one is written, explains the visit.
CatchWorm does not sell the ticket
Ents24 sells some tickets, so booking fees may apply, and it offers presales and VIP packages. CatchWorm adds no fee and does not send presale codes. The show page can include ticket links, estimated travel, places to stay, a venue guide and things to do in the city.
Where Ents24 may still suit you better
- You only want UK shows, including ones outside your home city.
- You track venues, comedy, theatre or festivals.
- You want to buy some tickets from the guide itself.
- You want the deeper UK catalogue. Ents24 says it adds 14,000 new shows a month.
Use Ents24 for the UK listing. Use CatchWorm for dates abroad and the trip. Songkick, Bandsintown, Ents24 and CatchWorm compared.
Add CatchWorm alongside Ents24
- Search an artist or a city on CatchWorm, or open concerts by city.
- Choose Set alerts. Pick your country for UK dates, or Worldwide if you will travel further, then sign in with email.
For presales, join the artist’s own list. CatchWorm does not provide codes.
Honest limits
- The UK listing is not as deep as Ents24’s.
- There is no native app and no venue-tracking alert.
- On sale does not mean tickets remain. The seller confirms that.

Ents24 alternative: FAQs
Is CatchWorm an Ents24 alternative?
CatchWorm is a free alternative when you want email alerts beyond Great Britain and Northern Ireland, plus help planning travel and stays. Ents24 GigAlert is stronger for UK-wide listings, venue tracking, and comedy or theatre.
Is Ents24 only for the UK?
Ents24's FAQ says it concentrates on events in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with occasional Dublin listings as part of major tours. It is not built for following an artist on tour abroad.
Can I track venues on CatchWorm the way Ents24 does?
Ents24 lets you track artists, venues and events. CatchWorm alerts follow artists. You can browse a city's shows by year and open a venue guide where one is written. That guide is not a venue alert.
Does CatchWorm sell tickets like Ents24?
No. CatchWorm does not sell tickets or add a booking fee. It links to ticket sellers and may earn commission from partner links. Ents24 sells some tickets itself, so booking fees may apply on those sales.
Which is better for comedy and theatre?
Ents24 covers music, comedy, theatre and festivals. CatchWorm is for concerts and planning the trip to a show. Use Ents24 if comedy and theatre alerts matter to you.
