Etihad Stadium concert travel guide
The Etihad Stadium is on the Etihad Campus, east of Manchester city centre. The Etihad Campus Metrolink stop is beside the stadium. Check the route from Piccadilly or Victoria, and your journey home, before booking travel for a show.
This is a planning guide. Use the linked providers for current services and event-specific arrangements.
Which station should I use?
Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria are the main rail stations. Both have step-free access. From Piccadilly, the tram to Etihad Campus takes about 8 to 10 minutes, and the stop is beside the North Stand.
The club describes a step-free walk of about 35 minutes from the city centre, and about 45 minutes from Piccadilly or Victoria. Ashburys is closer, but it has no step-free access to the platforms.
Plan the journey home before the show
Trams and buses will be crowded after a stadium show. Leave time to leave the ground and reach Etihad Campus or a city-centre station. A concert ticket does not guarantee the last tram or train.
Recheck disruption on the day. If the return does not work, compare an overnight stay with another way home before you book.
Check the whole accessible route
The Etihad Campus tram stop has ramps and lifts, and Metrolink stops are step-free. Buses on Ashton New Road are low-floor. Piccadilly and Victoria have lifts and staff who can help.
Accessible concert tickets are sold through the ticket seller. Concert Blue Badge parking must be booked in advance. Ask the club or the seller about accessible seating, a drop-off point, and anything you need to bring in.
Driving, parking and pick-up
For concerts, parking has to be booked before the day. It is not sold at the gate. Street parking nearby is limited and resident zones are in place.
Blue Badge parking for a concert also has to be booked ahead. Display the badge on the dashboard. Allow extra time for campus traffic, and agree a permitted pick-up point before you arrive.
Bags and entry checks
The concert bag rule allows one small bag no bigger than A4. Backpacks, rucksacks and large bags are not allowed, even when the bag itself looks small. Arrive early for the security checks.
Read the current prohibited-items list before you travel, especially if you are arriving with overnight luggage. Age rules for standing and seated areas are set for each concert.
Where should I base an overnight stay?
Compare a stay near the campus with one near Piccadilly or Victoria, where longer-distance trains leave. Check the late tram or taxi back, and where you can leave luggage.
On your CatchWorm event page, Venue & stays lets you explore nearby accommodation. Choose travel dates to allow for the concert and check the final booking terms with the provider.
