Electric Bristol FAQs
Which station should I use?
Temple Meads is the closest station. The venue says the walk is about 20 minutes and a taxi is 5 to 10 minutes. It also says many buses stop outside 15 Nelson Street.
Check the evening bus and the last train before you choose the walk. The venue does not publish a numbered bus route.
Plan the journey home before the show
The FAQs give a daytime-style walking time, not a last train from Temple Meads. Check that service against the end of the show.
Collect cloakroom items before you leave. The venue will not return an item without the matching ticket, and if you lose the ticket you wait until the end of the event.
Check the whole accessible route
Electric Bristol is on several floors. The passenger lift is at the back of the building in a staff-only area, so the venue asks you to arrange access in advance. Email accessibility@electricbristol.com and allow up to three days for a reply.
The venue says it offers one free carer pass per ticket holder. Ask about that when you contact them, and do not assume you can reach the lift from the public queue without staff.
Driving, parking and pick-up
The venue has partnered with Euro Car Parks on All Saints Street. It says you can book ahead in the ECP ParkBuddy app, location code 714103, for a 20% discount.
Check that car park’s closing time. Agree a pick-up on Nelson Street rather than assuming you can stop at the door.
Bags and entry checks
Bags bigger than a handbag, and items such as bike helmets, backpacks and suitcases, should go in the cloakroom. The venue charges £3 an item. You need the cloakroom ticket to collect it.
Entry includes a search. Professional cameras with large or detachable lenses are not allowed inside. Small compact cameras are allowed unless the event says otherwise. Identification is required.
Where should I base an overnight stay?
Compare a stay near Temple Meads with one near Nelson Street and Cabot Circus if you would rather not walk for 20 minutes after the show. Check the taxi back and the cloakroom.
