Utilita Arena Birmingham concert travel guide
Utilita Arena Birmingham is in the city centre, a short walk from New Street, Moor Street, Snow Hill and Five Ways. Check your route home before you book travel for a show.
This is a planning guide. Use the linked providers for current services and event-specific arrangements.
Which station should I use?
Birmingham New Street, Moor Street, Snow Hill and Five Ways are all a short walk from the arena. Taxis are available at each station. New Street is the simplest station if you are arriving from further away.
Buses stop near the arena. From Digbeth Coach Station the venue describes a 30-minute walk and recommends a taxi instead.
Plan the journey home before the show
Leave time to exit the arena and walk back to New Street or the station you arrived at. A concert ticket does not guarantee the last train.
Recheck disruption on the day. If the return does not work, compare an overnight stay with another way home before you book.
Check the whole accessible route
The most direct level route is the boardwalk to Entrance E. If you cannot queue, tell a steward at the entrance and they will arrange priority entry. The drop-off point is at the bottom of the main steps on King Edward’s Road, then along that boardwalk.
Blue Badge parking on level 11 of the South Car Park has a lift into the arena. Level 9 of the North Car Park is close to Entrance G and has no lift. Vehicles over 2 metres use the North Car Park. A hearing loop covers the arena bowl, and assistance dogs are not taken onto the standing floor.
Driving, parking and pick-up
On-site parking is in the North, South and West car parks, and the venue asks you to book ahead. The West car park is for pre-booked and hospitality parking only. Payment is cashless. The satnav postcode is B1 2AA.
The arena and its car parks are inside the Birmingham Clean Air Zone. Agree a pick-up point before the day, away from the queues at the end of the show.
Bags and entry checks
A bag has to be no bigger than A4, about 21cm by 30cm by 19cm, with no more than two compartments. Rucksacks are not allowed. Every bag is searched. Lockers inside the venue are only for bags that already meet that rule.
If you need to bring medical equipment in a larger bag, use an accessible entrance and speak to staff there. Read the current security page before you travel with overnight luggage.
Where should I base an overnight stay?
Compare a stay beside the arena with one near New Street, where longer-distance trains leave. Check the walk back after the show, late check-in and where luggage can be left.
On your CatchWorm event page, Venue & stays lets you explore nearby accommodation. Choose travel dates to allow for the concert and check the final booking terms with the provider.
