Knebworth concert travel guide
Knebworth concerts are held in the park, with the house as the backdrop. Stevenage is the nearest station, about two miles away. Check how that concert expects you to travel before you book.
This is a planning guide. Use the linked providers for current services and event-specific arrangements.
Which station should I use?
Stevenage is the nearest station, about two miles from the park. Trains run there from London King’s Cross, and there is a taxi rank at the station. The estate says walking from the station is not recommended.
Use the travel instructions for your show. A shuttle, when one is running, is set by that concert and is not a permanent service from the park.
Plan the journey home before the show
Leaving a park show takes longer than leaving an arena next to a station. Check whether that concert runs a shuttle, and whether it returns after the show.
Plan a return from Stevenage that you can still make after the walk or shuttle. A concert ticket does not guarantee the last train. If the return does not work, compare an overnight stay with another way home before you book.
Check the whole accessible route
Stevenage station is the rail option. The estate does not recommend walking from the station. Event parking is often in a field and can be uneven. Ask the concert organiser about accessible parking, viewing areas and whether a companion ticket is offered.
The house and gardens have their own access arrangements, including steps inside the house. Those visitor routes are separate from the concert site. Confirm the concert arrangements directly.
Driving, parking and pick-up
The park is signed from junction 7 of the A1(M) at Stevenage South. Concert parking is not the same as a normal visit to the house: the location can change, and tickets for parking are often sold separately.
Book the parking that belongs to your concert, and agree a pick-up point before the day. Roads around the A1(M) are slow when the audience arrives and leaves.
Bags and entry checks
Knebworth does not publish one bag rule for every concert. The organiser sets what you can bring, including luggage, chairs and camping kit.
Read that event’s conditions before you travel, especially if you are arriving with a suitcase or staying overnight.
Where should I base an overnight stay?
Compare a stay in Stevenage, near the station, with one further along the line if you have a confirmed way back after the show. Check late check-in and whether the hotel can keep luggage.
On your CatchWorm event page, Venue & stays lets you explore nearby accommodation. Choose travel dates to allow for the concert and check the final booking terms with the provider.
