Arena travel guide
Which station should I use?
Leeds station on New Station Street is the main rail arrival. The arena estimates a 15-minute walk through the city centre; the uphill route may take longer for your pace or access needs. Plan to Arena Way, LS2 8BY, rather than treating the train arrival as your arena arrival.
If walking is unsuitable, compare a local bus or taxi using West Yorkshire Metro. Coach passengers arrive at Dyer Street, not the railway station: save a separate route from your actual arrival point.
Plan the journey home before the show
Check the return from Leeds station for the date of your show. Allow time to leave the arena, collect belongings and get back through the city centre.
A door time is not a finish time. Work backwards from your last train or coach, adding the exit queue and walk to the correct departure point. If the connection only works with an immediate exit, compare an overnight stay. Recheck engineering works on the day.
Check the whole accessible route
The accessible entrance is to the right of the main doors and nearest the lift. A lift to a level does not mean every seat is step-free: upper-tier seating can involve steep steps. Confirm the ticket location and companion arrangements before paying.
Plan the uphill station-to-arena leg separately. The arena identifies Elmwood Close’s turning circle for Blue Badge drop-offs, including taxis. Check the current access guide for arrangements and confirm station assistance with your rail operator.
Driving, parking and pick-up
The arena has no car park of its own. Compare nearby operators using LS2 8BY, then check closing times, height limits and pedestrian exits directly with the car park.
For general collection, the arena recommends meeting away from the building because crowds, road closures and diversions can affect access. Agree a meeting place and a fallback with your driver; use the access guide for accessible drop-offs.
Bags and entry checks
The arena permits small bags up to 35 × 40 × 19cm, but not backpacks or large bags. It does not provide storage for prohibited items.
Leave overnight luggage at your accommodation or arrange storage beforehand. Contact the venue about medical equipment and check the current security rules before setting off.
Where should I base an overnight stay?
Near the arena or Merrion area: compare this if a shorter journey after the show matters most. Near Leeds station: compare this for an early train and leaving luggage before the gig. Check the actual hotel entrance and walking route; a map distance alone does not establish a suitable route.
If you go straight to the arena, arrange luggage storage and late check-in first: the arena cannot store prohibited bags. Compare the room and transport costs together. Venue & stays on your event page uses your chosen dates; confirm facilities and cancellation terms with the provider.
